Divine is that soul,
who gave birth to me.
Cuddling and caressing in her arms,
a goddess of love , she may be.
The day I opened my eyes to see,
thy cheerful face greeted me.
A stranger in this world so to say,
thy glowing eyes showed me the way.
From that day on, I was bonded to you,
by a relationship so strong, seen far and few.
Like a creeper that clings on tight to a tree,
I depended on you till you set me free.
This life appears to be an obscure trail,
confused and afraid of being frail,
I look up to thee to show me the light,
to confront any situation with all my might.
Indebted to you, shall I remain forever,
for all the love and care you've showered.
Thy selfless sacrifices and sufferings knew no bound,
thy benevolence to mankind O' mother is profound.
